As a volunteer based organisation, the Bonnie Babes Foundation almost solely relies on the unselfish dedication of its valued volunteers.
Our volunteers work hard and at times also have a great deal fun, as a balance to the sad side they see of the work they are involved in. All the time however, knowing that they are helping to make a significant difference to the lives of Australian children and their families.
The effort and availability of our volunteers varies considerably. Some are working professionals who only have the opportunity to contribute occasionally after hours or on weekends. Others have more flexible lifestyles and can contribute several days each week. No effort is too little.
The range of tasks that our volunteers perform also varies. Activities range from attending information stands and helping with office work, to managing and hosting events.
The opportunities for self-development are also significant. Through their efforts with the Foundation, some of our volunteers have been successful in attaining rewarding and interesting positions in commercial organisations. Our youngest volunteer is 16 years old, and our eldest is 78. Men and women are involved so anyone can contribute to the team and really make a difference.
